Official Squatch Watchers

Does anyone know how to upload a video to a website so others can see it without any weird problems? I took a short video of my rooster hobble-walking and shared it with a few people. One could view it only after downloading a player or something of some sort or another. The others could only hear the audio, no video available.

I don't do social media, so I thought easy: upload to my website and share the link.

Any suggestions? Are there techy people here on BYC I can ask? I'm using a Mac and wonder if that has something to do with it. I don't have any video upload experience. It seemed like a straight forward process until it wasn't. I can see it just fine, but others can't.

Ship me off in the right direction and I'll spare you boring tech questions.
Upload to youTube, then share the link.

I was hoping to avoid YouTube and social media, but that may be my only option.
(BYC is social media) Youtube and Vimeo are the only two sites I know of that you can upload a video to then share a link here.

There is an option on YouTube to make the video private and only viewable with either the link or by sending out a viewing request by email addresses.

It could be because Apple doesn't play nice with others.
So if you used apple to upload and they are trying to watch using flash player it won't work.
You may need to use a general server like YouTube. You can make it so it's a not a public video. Can only be viewed with a link.

What?
It doesn't matter what device you use..no one can upload a video straight to the site. You have to use a different site. Does that make sense?
You trying to confuse me on purpose?

It is raining as I sit in car rider line and I left my husbands saws and drill out at home! Fabulous!!!
You better dig in that old rag bag when ya get home and get busy!
