I hate migraines.
Today I'm in the post migraine fog and still nauseous but have a lot to do today. I need to be slow and steady to get everything done today without triggering another wave of that migraine pain because Im driving tomorrow to VA to bring my son and his dog (who lives to eat one of my chickens) here for the holiday week.
The plan is to alternate chickens on lock down , dog on lock down. It's going to be a stressful week.
We love our son AND his dog (aussie cattle dog/flat coated collie=high prey drive) and don't want to hurt his feelings by telling him he can't bring his buddy with him.
Driving up tomorrow and back here Sunday, repeat next week.

Let me leave you with this:

1. I once paid a moving van driver $300 to smuggle two gray tree frogs across the country in his truck.

2. I once drove home from a grocery store with no pants on.

3. I'm the reason for all your kids goldfish.

What part of VA are you driving to? And sorry about the headaches. When i had my first migraine my parents thought i had the flu.
 
I realized something the other day and I feel like an absolute idiot for not figuring it out sooner. In the evenings I'd toss a bit of scratch or feed or whatever out in the run for the chickens and I'd throw a little bit into Odin's run, but he never ate it. I figured he just didn't like whatever it was. Then the other day I tossed some into his feed dish and he got really excited and made happy sounds. So stupid me didn't realize for months that he wasn't eating it b/c he couldn't eat it off the ground b/c his waddles get in the way. No wonder he hates me.
 
#3 is out. But, we have a problem. Woke up this morning with Other (#6 I believe), upside down and in a corner of the brooder.... not sure how long s/he was stuck there. Got it back into the incubator to warm up, and noticed it kinda will take a couple steps, the wobble and fall over. Always to the left. Nothing wrong with it's feet or legs.

I have given it nutridrench, electrolytes and water from a dropper. I have also put them directly on to a heating pad on my tummy and encircled them with my hand for a little bit, now s/hes back in the incubator with the new hatches.

I think I just moved them into the brooder box too soon. Shoulda left it overnight in the bator.

I can JUST see the roo all wide eyed, waiting so patiently for the scratch... aaaaaand then you toss it on the ground.... with a huffy look, a cocked eyebrow.. that roo stared at you.. thinking... Witch... (but with a b letter)..... :gig

I've never hatched so I have no suggestions, but I hope it makes it. Is it still walking funny after you warmed it up?
