I see lots of possibilities!! :yesss: babies!!!!
Yup, I'm actually starting to think that these eggs look rather lonely inside the incubator meant to hold 56 eggs. But I shall resist. :)

Besides, I would have to break into my general layer flock eggs to get more and I wouldn't be able to tell which hens the eggs came from or which rooster fertilized the eggs (until they hatched cause the two roosters in the flock are a Buff Orp and a Black Cochin). Plus I might end up with some of my Leghorn cross eggs in the incubator and I wouldn't want that.

This can be your test run. ;)
That way there is no guilt about not filling it totally.
:pop I am gonna be watching for every update.

I got the new ironing board cover done. I have not used the sewing machine in years and years.
The new bifocals are messing with me hard core.
Nothing like an undeserved eye headache.

I used to do needlepoint......I think my eyes are to far gone to enjoy it now.

I am going to mess with making some pillow shams to get back into it before I wreck my fabric.

Grab him and hold him in one arm and hold his head down with your other hand. Let him know you are the boss!

He's sneaky! He knows he's not supposed to attack the mamma! Waits till I'm almost out the door then runs up behind me. Doesn't jump at me but acts like he pushed me out. Clucking and strutting all triumphant. So I walk right back in and heard him towards the pop door.
That's when he jumps and ruffles his neck feathers and goes on the attack. I keep it up till he's out the door then stand there so he doesn't come back in.
He pecked me today and was trying to beat me with his wings. No real spurs to speak of but those will be filed if he keeps this sh!t up.
I'll have to catch him next time if I can. He is fast! Big too! Last weight was over 6lbs. He'll be 7 months in Dec.

Side note my little Svart B. Cochin mix is thinking of going broody.:barnie
Lots of feathers in her favorite nest box. Pulling the pterodactyl when I or other hens approach. Little dinosaur.
