I would have put him on the list for freezer camp already. He's sneaky! He knows he's not supposed to attack the mamma! Waits till I'm almost out the door then runs up behind me. Doesn't jump at me but acts like he pushed me out. Clucking and strutting all triumphant. So I walk right back in and heard him towards the pop door.
That's when he jumps and ruffles his neck feathers and goes on the attack. I keep it up till he's out the door then stand there so he doesn't come back in.
He pecked me today and was trying to beat me with his wings. No real spurs to speak of but those will be filed if he keeps this sh!t up.
I'll have to catch him next time if I can. He is fast! Big too! Last weight was over 6lbs. He'll be 7 months in Dec.
Side note my little Svart B. Cochin mix is thinking of going broody.
Lots of feathers in her favorite nest box. Pulling the pterodactyl when I or other hens approach. Little dinosaur.
