Jammer is not doing so hot. It might just be cuz she's sleepy,cuz it's 5:30, but she IGNORED MEALWORMS. I do not think that is a good sign. Is it also possible that she has something else? We've got a bunch of other meds too, like tylan 50 and vetrx. I'm just grasping at straws, though. I really don't want to lose another chicken.

She was still fluffed up and lying down in the shavings of the quarantine box when I left her. Normally by this time she would be clucking for the other peeps. I let her sleep, and asked my mom to move her when she woke up-if she woke up. I'm almost crying right now-I don't think she'll make it until I come home. i am not having a good morning. I almost missed the bus, my sister lost my hairbrush and my new sweater has strings coming out of it so I look frumpy, and the triops we're hatching are starting to get a fungus.

Her poop was clear, sometimes with some green.

Ruby, I have no advice about the chicken, but you are still beautiful, sweater strings, stringy hair and all. I hope your day gets better and it passes quickly so you can get back home. You are doing a great job taking care of Jammer and I know she feels loved.

Oh honey.
We'll all hold down the worrying fort for you today while you're at school.
You just try to be present for your teachers and if you have a special one and have a few minutes, tell them what's going on at home so they'll understand why you may seem a little distant.
You are such a special kid, I'm sure they love you just like we've grown to love you here in our crazy little group.
I had a kitty who I loved so much. He had cancer. We turned our living room into a hospice for him. He pretty much lived on the loveseat for 90 days even though after his diagnosis the vet said he'd only live 2-3 weeks at most.
We gave him fluids every day, hand fed him tiny bits of food, carried him to his litter box, then eventually used puppy diapers on him.

His spirit was SO bright, but his body was failing.

It was hard for him to make up his mind to leave us, despite his pain and suffering, because he knew how much our family loved him and didn't want to see him go.

I think animals we have a relationship with, hear our thoughts and feelings as clear as if they were words.

Tell Jammers how much love you have for her with your thoughts today. She'll hear you. She'll know that you're near, even if you're not right in the same room.

I've given up trying to figure out chicken egg laying. It seemed to take forever for my chicks to start laying. My yearling went into molt and I was getting an egg a week! Finally my new girls started and I thought we were doing good. Now they have decided to stop! I've randomly gotten an egg from a yearling or two but nothing regular.
