I have an Olive Egger and Cream egg layers now. Waiting till everyone lays again to update the egg color picture.

Until I had chickens I had no idea just how different each egg can be.
Sometimes when I'm putzing around the grocery store I'll open up cartons of the $6 organic eggs just to see what they look like.

Last year when my girls were on winter break I bought eggs.... #imsoashamed

The best ones I found were from Vital Farms. They were gorgeous shell color and very nice yolks. I was seriously impressed.

Egg life and chicken life are the best! I had to buy eggs at the store the other day and I admired the different shade of brown, sizes and shapes. The shapes are so different than Sesame’s.

I've been waiting for a while too hatch some Ameraucana eggs. Finally I'm going to hug them and pet them and squeeze them. I wish one of the bantam eggs would hatch
