Official Squatch Watchers

Can't you just fire said workers, since they aren't showing up for work?!?

PS. Anyone :):: coughcoughRJcoughcough :::) ever have jamon iberico? DH and I ordered a *sample* of the jamon serrano and really like it... was wondering if there was much of a difference in flavor (RJ?!?!?)?

The hotel I stayed at in Spain had the full spread and I liked it all, but never could identify one from the other. Different flavors and textures, but couldn't read the signs (if there were any) and pretty much ordered by pointing.

I've also had Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee cured hams sliced thin and even though their flavors weren't as strong as a prosciutto or jamon, they were very good and didn't require a home mortgage to buy a whole one. In about a year I'll try my hand at making it. So we will have something to taste in two years.

Anyone have any eggnog recipes? Maybe @rjohns39 a link to a good one you have tried will work. I have asked my neighbor for hers, but she has not responded.
I prefer the no-cook methods. Alton Brown's recipe is incredible and truly does get better the longer you age it. This other recipe is close to what I've frequently used, but I like to add real dark rum and french vanilla ice cream to it. I also like the variations.

I just started busting out laughing from the ickiness of this story. However, I think I might employ it at some point if necessary. The thought never entered my head before.
I know native Americans employed this method that @Smuvers Farm used as an emergency reaction and probably many other cultures as well. We are just a society that's grown to accustomed to chronic cleanliness.

Hey everybody. I have to take a break from byc for a month, bc my parents think I've been spending too much time on here. See you on the 18th of January!
Have a nice holiday! It'll go much faster than you think. Plus it's good to take a break sometimes. I'm never on here on the weekends unless I'm having a chicken emergency & am seeking solutions. I know it's hard not to visit, but maybe limiting your time daily would help them not worry so much once you're back online.

OH MY GASP! Are they aussies?! I'm sooo jealous!

That is gorgeous! Do you know which one? I promise I won't come steal her.

Actually, there is scientific proof that eating your own boogers is good for your immune system.
