Official Squatch Watchers

I'd love a pair of red factor canaries but I've heard indoor birds are very messy.
The seed flies around , but you can put seed guards up on the sides ( plexiglass) and a seed catcher underneath (fabric). Love canaries!

:gig:gig Yes I guess that does sound funny. Mind you.....the mess wouldn't bother me.....after all I clean out 2 litterboxes, dog poop and chicken poop on a daily basis. It's the DH that hates mess. He is OCD and I already push him to his OCD limits.:celebrate
Exactly my husband's attitude. I am sure we married twins!

I have looked high and low for a fancy, pretty old fashioned looking cage and can't seem to find one. I would love a wooden one but not sure if they even make them. If I find the perfect cage I will definitely get a pair
They used to make bamboo like ones but all the space was vertical. Horizontal is much better, because birds have more flying space. I used to build my own cages out of hardware cloth. Big surprise right!:gig

@Redhead Rae ,that chick you posted should be fine. I had one like that and once it's body started to get a little age on it it stopped flopping around but the down on the chick was never right it always looked wet. It did straighten out once feathering started. Make sure little thing is pooping too, mine couldn't stand well because he was full of watery crap, one big and i do mean big crap and he was on his feet.:) BTW what kind of chick is that, a delaware? My problem child was a delaware.

I'm hoping it is ok. last I looked, it was laying on its side, legs quivering.

It's at least half buff (it can't come from my Black Cochin). I don't know who mama is. It is a general flock egg that accidentally made its way into the hatching eggs.

Good morning Squatchers. Hope everyone is having a Happy Hump Day!

We are working on day 3 of overcast and MOIST! Of course, this keeps PIC sick, and me with less than normal energy levels..... hell, I'll barely get myself fed on days like this.

We can't find either of our 2 small Xmas trees, so I'm gonna have to move living room furniture around and put the big one up. UGH. So.Much.Work! And then wrapping PICS gifts.... can't I just give it to him in Amazon boxes or something?!?!? :gig

Night before last I made a sausage, kale, potato, chickpea soup that was just so SCRUMPTIOUS!! Ran out of kale, so making it again today with frozen spinach.

Rae, I hope your little chickie gets better. I know it freaked me out seeing the chickens after they first hatched...... flopping all around, like they were half dead.... it was strange.

Has anyone seen @Parront and @Embalmergirl ?!?!?

Before my mom discovered Marshalls/TJMaxx/Homegoods bags we were lucky if our presents were double bagged in plastic and tied shut.
