Official Squatch Watchers

Wanted his opinion on the flow bee thingie.

Not sure. Pro: they don't have to pull comb, Con: you don't get any comb. Con: Opening and closing can injure bees and bring unwanted parts into honey. Most folks filter honey anyway. Con: Filling jars in the bee yard invites unwanted visitors and robbers. Con: It's very expensive. Pro:but it is neat.:idunno

ETA: Bees have to consume 8 pounds of honey to make 1 pound of wax.

I was wondering how the old dog was doing. :hugs
Is the lab just to bouncy for the older dogs?

My new doggie is quite a piddle pot. Good thing there is no carpet here. The mop will be quite busy during this training time.
At least she is following my big guys all the way out into the kennel now. Just need to get her to give the hey I gotta go indicators.
The old dog has really bonded to me. She searches all over the house for me because she is nearly deaf. I have found if I clap, I think she can hear that. We usually communicate by hand signals. If she follows me to the Hunan House and doesn’t see me leave, I eventually have to go get her because she stays out there wondering around for me. Poor thing is still favoring that leg.

The lab is a little over a year old and needs someone to spend time wearing her out. She is only 50 pounds, but runs all over the little dogs, even outside.

It's pretty stout, believe it or not it's actual wood and if you had to break it down to store it wouldn't be hard at all.
@Chickassan how sturdy is it? My broody totes are less than a year old and they are starting to crack. I want a new solution.

If your lab is anything like my big boys I can totally see how that is rough on older smaller dogs. :hugs
Since the old girl cannot hear well she certainly doesn't stand a chance in dodging a hit.
Poor old girl.

Can your son take some responsibility? If he can maybe he can spend an hour a day playing fetch or Frisbee with the lab.
I am not sure about making it mandatory but more like a "hey buddy I could use your help with the puppy" sort of encouragement. It is a great training opportunity for both of them. Him in patience and the pup in obedience.

That would mean I'd have to take down the brooder, that I was supposed to take down two months ago.:barnie

I bought my hives from a mann lake distributor..:old

ETA: One family that supports many local bee clubs buys stuff in bulk from mann lake and sells to us at 10% discount. I've looked at bulk pricing and figure they're making 15% on each sale.

Yay! I'm back bitcoin mining my 12 bucks a day mad money is flowing once again. That's how i bought that broody box and coffee maker overstock takes bitcoin so technically i got both things for 20 bucks if you just factor in electricity costs buuut I'm using the miner as a supplemental heat source so it's really not even that much. I used a thin copper sheet to actually make the thing a cabinet so it's a pretty jam up heater now instead of an eyesore. :)
