I've talked a lot too some big breeders it seems everyone except for bid wigs want lavender as a standard not real sure what the hold up is they are beautiful birds. There is talk that it will be soon

Hold up is that self blue is the name for the pattern in all other breeds, if I remember right, and they want consistency.. don't quote me on that though. The whole thing is a bunch of childish bickering in my rather crotchety opinion.

You'll have to be happy with old pictures, since my camera isn't going outside in the current weather... burr. Some of the hens look a tad roach backed. Gonna have to pounce on that in their offspring right quick. They've got plenty of flaws, but I was just amazed I found them at all. Silvers are rare in the best situation and I'm about a hundred miles from everywhere so local silvers were even more amazing.

The hens are not even CLOSE to standard in colour. Shouldn't even be called PC, really. They're great layers though. I'll be getting other birds for breeding.

That totally taters Rae. Hopefully the reason he had the cockerel was because it had done it's job and was protecting the rest of the flock. I hope everyone else is ok.

Yes self/blue or lavender most people don't know what I'm talking about when I say self/blue so I just say lavender
