Hey y'all, how's everyone doing? For those who are asleep, there's no rush to answer... Just getting ready to let chickens out for free range/live protein/quality love time. But first, gotta finish watching movie with DD. Lizbeth and Gurtrude will get plenty of time to be troublesome, lol.

The other benefit you have is your days stay a bit longer then others that are farther north.

Yesh I am envious of your warm weather in winter AND your many eggs.

I got 2 yes 2 eggs yesterday.

When it gets cold birds tend to stay in the coop that is usually darker @BantyChooks

It's been sunrise at 720 and set around 6

I love watching them miss, walk around and come up with a new strategy. It's totally adorable.

BTW squatchers, I haven't talked about eggs lately as my young pullets are getting on the band wagon and I don't want egg envy.

Did you have nobody molting?

Two hens. The others lost a few here and there but it didn't show. But even the two hens layed twice a week. The only two that I noticed to stop laying was my broody mama and my only leghorn. You know what is funny. Leghorns are supposed too be great layers but she is the most delicate hen I have. She stops laying all the time. So much so I keep checking around for a stash somewhere
