Pale combs, lethargy. The mites are red, clumps of eggs around bases of feathers. Gross and disturbing. What kind of mites are we talking about and what do you look for as far as symptoms?

Lost another pullet today. This one had what i think are mites. Reddish looking and eggs on the base of the feathers. I feel so stupid, thought she was just failing from Mereks. So they all got dusted with poultry dust and i need some spray to use on the coop. I just feel awful!
Cap so sorry you're fighting this. I'm sure you know how to treat, but if not I can find someone who does.Pale combs, lethargy. The mites are red, clumps of eggs around bases of feathers. Gross and disturbing.![]()
That stuff is like $175.00 a gallon! Husband would freak.I shelled out the money and bought Elector PSP. I think I have enough for 10 years. Works first time every time. 1/2 gallon does all my birds and the coop.
