God, I need more chickens!!!! And my hubs gets pissed every time I bring it up. But I've been perusing all the online hatcheries and bugging the girl at Agway already about her spring stock.

I've got chicken fever, bad. I need me some more d'Uccles and some Seramas. How can I sneak them past him??!!

I'm getting Seramas in April.3 of them.....I can't wait!

What do you feed them to keep them alive before they become food?

I used to feed mealworms bran. And apples or carrots for moisture.

My poor boys have me baffled. One gets better the other gets worse. They both look good then one crashes and looks awful. I've been setting the timer for the heat lamp to go on when the predicted temp will be 10° or lower. Humidity has stayed in the teens except for the 2 warm days we had. I should get my wireless temp/humidity monitor tomorrow.

It reminds me of the hilarious Julia Child episode with the wet slippery chicken.
