Official Squatch Watchers

Went out to feed the chickens. One of our first flock, Dot of the FlufferButters, was wobbling around, almost seemed to be limping. I picked her up and she felt light, which is weird. I saw her out and about yesterday and she seemed fine.

Right now, we have her in a kennel in the garage. Not sure if I should bring her fully into the warm house or not. I did a quick check of her from head to tail and didn't see aything out of place.

Unfortunately I 'll have to take new, some how when I changed things I accidentally erased photos, documents, numbers, yeah brilliant. There's Taz our rescue, Tom the cat out door, neighbors cows, which I miss seeing each morning,& any other stray or rescue that comes by, all are welcome. Look forward to spring time for chickens, maybe not alot, just a few for now. The only thing I worry about is...Here's my list wasp really bad, rats & mice, snakes & lizards, phew oh & finances :thI would hope Tom wouldn't do anything

I'm so sorry prayers for feathered family member :hugs

Oh no. Not the mites! :barnie

I join the others in wishing for a full and speedy recovery Misty. :hugs

This afternoon I join those fighting the good fight against mites.
Blood suckers have found my welsummer.
I am hoping my farm supply stores have what I need.
Oh I have sevin dust. But since we plan to eat eggs I guess that is a bad idea.

I hate bugs.

My Orpington started limping last fall for no apparent reason. It lasted about 3 days then just went away. Hope this is something similar

I am not sure if I can get the liquid here but am going looking.

I need the dang truck and it won't start! Hubby is going to do a fly by if he can so I can go get fresh shavings. I think I can get feed, scratch and all the meds using the car then clear the structure and treat everything. They should be OK without shavings for the day. I can get them this evening if I have to.

Tomorrows forecast is well into the 60's with snow Saturday.
Stupid weather!

I found the mite eggs on the welsummer only because she was walking funny so I picked her up and flipped her over. Checking legs I found gross eggs on feather shafts.

Goodie I get to treat 31 flipping birds and 2 structures.
:th

Did I mention that I hate bugs?

What a shame. You sure do have bad luck. For some reason I thought you already had chickens......

Ok, I love the Harry Potter series, and every time a new one came out for the original 7, I would start at book 1 and read all of them again. I think I've read book 1 about 10 times now. I'm casually on either 4 or 5 again, but I tend to read multiple books at a time, and can keep them all straight, surprisingly.

Sorry for the lack of coffee and breakfast, not feeling good and living on Nyquil at the moment. Carpooling kid and friend to their Thursday carpool, then picking them up later cuz their regular carpool won't be able to today. Yes, I got the flu shot, this is acting more like upper respiratory, so not as miserable as I could be, but still miserable.

Off to do the first bit of driving, then Nyquil and back to bed. See y'all later.
If only you lived near. Just finished making a big pot of chicken noodle soup.
Have a good nap.
