Official Squatch Watchers

Does this look right for application amount??

I don't want to poison my birds by using to much.

Thanks CSA! That helps, knowing teaspoon measurements is easier for me.

OK so I will segregate Windy and get nutri drench into her.......and any others with a heavy load.

The day has slipped away on me so I will get er done tomorrow. I can clear the coop while it is still chilly out then play a rousing game of catch that chicken. Woot for having a net handy!

Windy will get crated tonight while on roost......might be able to spray everyone then too depending on temps.

Ya'll are awesome!!
I'm with you.....I need simple math....tsp Tblsp cup 1/2 cup. I can't figure the mls. Good luck.

I used an "ironing spray bottle" to spray everything. It's like a cleaning spray bottle with the adjustable nozzle. I tried to fluff everyone's feathers and spray under them. Used my hand to get around the face and neck. Then the coop and anyone who wouldn't be caught got the stream spray. Could shoot them in the butt from farther away. :p
:gigThat makes for a great mental image

This on top of migraine meds makes me worry more that I will get it wrong.

Going to be mid 20's tonight. I will definitely treat the welsummer tonight. I know she may get colder but dang I don't want to lose her to vampires.
I put a makeshift feeder in the crate. I used a Folger's can and cut a side out for her. The crate is 100% ready for her feathered tater.

I figure I can net the big girls in the run, treat and set free in the main yard tomorrow.

I got 2 eggs today! This is the first time in almost 2 months that I got more than one egg in a day. :woot

So Folly’s place (starter of this amazing thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/permethrin-spray.1134783/ ) said the manufacturer recommendations were for for .5 ounces (1 table spoon) of spray per bird. But Folly used less and found it very effective. She treated at night while they were roosting. Lightly spraying their backs then spraying upwards onto their vents.

I basically did what that video showed (I only have six chickens and could only treat during the daytime because of weather) but I was more liberal with the sprayer. Because Cochins. I saturated the vent area, then sprayed neck, shoulders, and under each wing. The excess just ran off onto the ground though so I don’t think the fact that I was generous will hurt them. And a tablespoon is actually a lot come to think of it. Not sure even I used that much

ETA : now might be a good time to use a chicken hook!
HA! I was thinking about that chicken hook!
