Oh, lol! Insurance wouldn't cover it as it is deemed "cosmetic". Nice right?

I'm surprised they didn't do reconstruction at the time of removal. Generally that's how it's done now to save on having to do another surgery later on.
Hope she recovers physically and mentally from her ordeal.

Impressive! I have thought many times of making a quilt as a winter project, but don't know I'd have time.

I wasn't allowed to lift more than 5 pounds and i had only a cat and dog so i just worked on the quilt all day!

DH went home for lunch and Ester was out of the coop and eating and scratching and doing chicken things. No egg but that's ok....she laid yesterday. He even sent me a pic of her

The thing that burns my biscuits is that when we paid to have it installed we were doing major remodel. The ceiling was torn out in the basement so all duct work was exposed. We went with their recommendations.
Within a month I had them back out 4 times.
No heat, no a/c, no airflow, gas leak etc. They told us on their last visit that we needed to tear out the ceiling and put in bigger duct work.
and no.

I called the manufacturer and explained the issues. Several expensive house calls later and still not working right. Called the manufacturer and they asked finally what could be done to resolve the issue. I was ticked off! I told them to find my 50 year old Lennox and put it back in!
My electrician found a year later during my kitchen redo that they had not even secured the connections in the box for the a/c. There were charred wires.
Now twice a winter we take the furnace apart and clean the stupid coils ourselves. Not exactly easy or safe.

Well I figured out who exactly is giving me bantam sized eggs........

It is Chaos my "large" red Cochin.
She is hardly bigger than the bantam so it makes sense. I busted her coming out of the nest and the egg was still warm.
