I have cured her lice infestation (yay!) But I am still really concerned about the feather loss. Hubby said we got six eggs yesterday (and we only have 6 hens), so I am thinking molting is out of the question? Do you think another hen is doing this? I am so worried :hit
It almost looks like she has been rubbing against something

Ok, malicious or not I'm thinking its happening at roost time. You could try putting a little partition up to separate her from other beaks. You could also try that no pick junk, but it hasn't ever worked for me just made them smell like grapes. The derps are partitioned off, since they don't seem to mind getting picked bald, can't do a darn thing when they peck each other though....really dosent matter they usually miss anyway.

They should be going to roost soon. I’ll try to watch.

In my opinion, it looks like she was just really itchy in that spot, does she have feathers missing in other areas?

Ok, i want you all to know a miracle occurred today! I was busy cleaning out the coop(6.5 wagon loads of litter), and it was getting dark. I had not seen the guineas in a while.... so i took a small bucket with scratch to try and lure them into the hoop coop. I got down there, and lo and behold what to i see? The guineas were ALL in the hoop coop, even the suspicious pair! Truly a modern day miracle! But they are still a Tater Hole flock, because everyone has a tater hole and they are mine. :tongue Smuv! These stupid tater guineas had to run out in front of the UPS truck today!
