The Silkie seems to be okay for now. She has been inside the house and has eaten some. The other day I went to TSC to buy pine flakes and they were out, so I bought the fine shavings instead. They could be what all this breathing is about?? Everyone else roosts except this Silkie and the grey one. All the chickens were piles up in the coop when I got home after lunchtime.

She has to tend to Hubby's trachea tube and assist with his feeding through a peg tube since he had major cancer surgery and cannot eat orally.

How fine are the fine shavings? It very well could be the issue.

I got irritated at my store being out when I needed them so now I keep an extra 3 bales on hand. I rotate them out. Now if I go and they don't have any I can still clean.
