Official Squatch Watchers

My favorite colors are dark purple and darn green. Like a healthy grass green.

Never been into pastels. :p

Today's cushion project is more challenging. I have duck cloth with anchors on it. I need to do pattern matching so the anchors go the right direction. The back cushions will need some special handling since the upper corners are a little rounded.

I will post pics when its all done. Don't go expecting a nice sdofa. The thing is ancient and scratched but solid and good for a puppy to play on. I am liking how the bottom ones came out.

Our basement has an ocean theme. Kinda sorta lol.

I adore dark greens, browns, light blue/grey and light pink/grey (see, I'm not ALWAYS *dark*) HOWEVER, I pretty much like the color spectrum as long as it does NOT include purples.... :barnie And you don't HAVE TO make me anything..... I don't want to come across as someone who begs for presents (coughcoughSUZICOOKIEScoughcough)

Although you might not wanna purchase it on Amazon, DO check out dog bad breath products there.... there are TONS..... hopefully something you can do to help your adoptee.

So, I'm here briefly tonight. Waiting for the anxiety meds to kick in. I went to bed with the boys and dogs and cats close to 2100.... got thisclose to going to sleep... and then my friggen mind switched on and BOOP..... I'm back up and can't flip the damn switch off.

So, currently trying to burn the thoughts by having a TON of them..... I can exhaust myself that way, and put myself to sleep... unfortunately that will make me SUPER tired tomorrow. 6 to 1, half dozen to the other...... screwed either way.....

I also listen to one song over and over.... THAT wipes my mind as well...... cause it takes over every other song lyrics that try to make me sing and keep me awake.

Drs appointment today went good to OK. Dr can't give me squat for my headaches, saying it's quite possible due to my highISH blood pressure.... even though, for my age and health history, I am right within range. Dr still is up my butt about getting the scope done to make sure I don't have fibroids on uterus or ovaries or wherever.... AND now he's ordered a NEW set of blood tests, to include the thyroid AGAIN.

I feel like I'm on a monkey go round.

Up in the air on whether I want to order some meat birds to raise and put to freezer camp... OR hatch out from my own mixed flock come spring and use them for meat. They are all *supposedly* dual purpose, so I dunno.

Got on DHs behind to fix the ZombieMobile...... it's only been out of commission 2 MONTHS come this Thursday! Sheesh!!!

I found my niche is NOT weekly or monthly planning. I think the best I can do is make a list of different meals we COULD have, and then pick dinner the night before or the next morning. OR, I'm gonna need to get an instapot. I feel we eat take away a LOT more often than necessary because I ask DH to take care of dinner and his idea of taking care of dinner is take away. :smack

Not sure if the UPS guy loves me or hates me. IN the last 3 days he has delivered about 20 packages. A few of those boxes were pretty damn heavy, like filled with canning jars, 40# bag of dog food, a TILLER! lol that's the tiller we had shipped back to Amazon as we bought a tiller with more power from TSC. Amazon screwed us though... instead of refunding it back to our card, they put the money on an Amazon gift card!!! :lau jackasses.... but it's OK...... we spend a LOT through Amazon.

Well, Imma skip outta here and look at some meals I can set up for the family that doesn't include potatoes or tomatoes or wheat and as little dairy as possible.

Tata kids!
I love to cook.
I like cooking things that take hours on the stove.

I got the Crockpot version of the InstaPot...and to say I love that thing would be an understatement.

I am really surprised I like it so much.

Get one.

Smuv, i hated purple for years because the bathtub in our first apartment was light purple. Now i have gotten over it and don't mind it at all and will even wear it!
Hope you can get some good rest.

My dislike of purple started when I was around 2 years old and my bio mom put me in this dark purple VELVET dress and I had to wear it ALL.THE.TIME. It was stiff and itchy and I am this little pale girl, with white blonde hair and sky blue eyes... it didn't fit.

and then, when I was a bit older, I was getting my bedroom painted and bio mom said I could pick the color. I asked for peridot, my birthstone color. I came home from an overnight family visit to my bedroom painted this light purple..... just SO girly and ugly..... I always associate purple with depression and anger, so I am not a fan. I used to really dislike orange as well, but then we moved here and there are some beautiful orange flowers that bloom here and they are just SO gorgeous!

The bad breath thing is worrisome. It is what Vinnie originally went to the vet for. There is a condition common in small dogs. The good news is it is often treatable.

Purple hater. :tongue

I know you was teasing about the make something pretty for Smuvs.
Maybe I wouldn't mind doing it..... :p.

GOOD MORNNING MISTY!!! Have you called the DR about the hubby yet?!?!?

Hate purple too. Every freakin' time someone got married in my younger days I'd BEG them not to use purple and every freakin' time I'd end up wearing some hideous purple dress. My ex-SIL picked blue as her color and my dress was purple. SMH. "periwinkle" as she said.. No, it's purple. 1 wedding I was asked to be in lost a groomsman so I stepped out just so I didn't have to wear that ugly as hell purple dress.

Oooo use can use the Amazon credit to buy your instapot. I don't meal plan either. I just make a list of things to eat, then buy the stuff for it... the hard part is taking the animal flesh out of the freezer early enough so it's thawed, OR putting the animal flesh in the freezer before it goes bad, OR eating the fresh veggies before they go bad. Since I live in town & I spend several hours sitting in front of a SaveALot each week I'll just run in and grab some meat so I don't have to thaw stuff. I really try to not have too much meat in the freezer now b/c I just we through it and tossed stuff that had been in there since 2016.. I'm not good at using stuff before it expires.

This is why I"d need an instapot. By the time I remember to make dinner, it's too close to dinner time to thaw anything out. Plus, with the Fibro and CFS, I never know when a flare is gonna hit. I'd have enough time to toss some taters into an instapot and then crash......

Kiki, mah lurve, I own like 5 crock pots. Whenever I see one go on sale, it is almost a guarantee I buy it. I use them to make yogurt, they'd be good for candle and soap making, and we almost ALWAYS have 2 or 3 going for WHEN I do weekend prep cooking. My thing is, I can't ever think of anything to make. And when I find something that sounds good, we only have 80% of the ingredients. OR I forgot to defrost something OR it's too late or too early to start something up in the crokcpot.

I think I'm gonna set an evening alarm and a morning alarm that says DINNER PREP!!!

I'm talking about the Crockpot brand name pressure cooker.
Not just a regular ole crockpot.

My mom just got a pressure cooker. Don't know much about it.

Set up the brooder yesterday! The heating mat isn't working, so we're scrambling to get a new one.

Had a snow day yesterday! That was nice. Had a 2 hour delay today too. Would have been better if I weren't having a headache and feeling sick.
