I am currently in the process of trying to find little Xmas ornaments I can cross stitch with chickens/farm/egg/homestead motifs. Might have to cobble some together because that's seriously what everyone is getting for Xmas this year... along with a tree planted in their name through the Arbor Day Foundation.

Tired of never knowing what to get anyone. Tired of getting gifts I really REALLY don't want (like Omaha steak boxes from my SIL... just....... no). At least no one has hung their collective hats on chicken gifts as, although I love my chickies, they are but a small part of what my homestead is going to be..... so I don't wanna end up having to collect chicken coffee mugs (already got one), chicken tattoos (getting one) or other chicken memorabilia.

DAMN... it's 2AM here.... I was supposed to be ASLEEP hours ago!..... Been giving the percocet some time to kick in so I can get to sleep without pain. I have ALWAYS reserved the cut in half percocets for DAYS when I have a LOT to do and my body is just fighting me tooth and nail. I had to *waste* one just to get out of enough pain to go to sleep!

Getting old SUCKS!!! ::: if anyone has any spare laying around, send them this way!!! :::

We had tornado damage here, not too far off from my home (zip code 42240 if you wanna check it out), and across the KY/TN border on the other side of 37040.

OK gonna try this sleep thingie again.
 
Hey y'all, coffees on, tea in the cabinet, pancakes and French toast made, use can use the toaster to heat them up. Syrup and nutella are on top of the fridge, cream cheese is next to the butter on the counter, cereal in the cabinet, along with some almond milk for the non dairy people, and let me know what I'm running low on so I can get it next time I'm at the store.
