Official Squatch Watchers

Coffee and water are on, and there are pancakes and French toast (dairy and gluten free, as usual) waiting for everyone. Slow cookers have preaches and cream oatmeal, and apple cobbler. Bagels and assorted muffins are on the counter, and all of the other goodies are in their normal places.

See y'all in a little while, sleep, NASCAR and sewing will be calling my name today. :love:hugs

For those needing a happy pic...

Gurtrude, freshly bathed, dried and happy (cuz dirt baths just don't do any good if the dirt is broken). She got her bugs after she was dry, and she and Lizbeth had an extra 2 hours kitchen chicken time this evening.

For those who were not here when exhibit A was posted, here it is:

Exhibit A - Broken dirt

Lost a hen during the night.
Bummed since it was one of my one year old red Cochin gals.

Good weight, no injuries, good feathering, no symptoms prior to passing, no mites/lice, good feed and clean water, full crop.
She was on the small size for the breed as is my other red one. Now I am on the super vigilant watch with the others.

No I do not wish to necropsy. If I lose another I will.

It is rare for me to lose any.

Its OK. I will of course miss her. She was a no fuss hen that got on well with everyone.

Now to break my unexpected broody Australorp. Yup its Bossy Betty again.

Who knows I may let her go and get a trio of chicks for her to raise........don't need them at all but better for her then sitting forever.
