Lost a hen during the night.
Bummed since it was one of my one year old red Cochin gals.

Good weight, no injuries, good feathering, no symptoms prior to passing, no mites/lice, good feed and clean water, full crop.
She was on the small size for the breed as is my other red one. Now I am on the super vigilant watch with the others.

No I do not wish to necropsy. If I lose another I will.

It is rare for me to lose any.

It's all good. I am trying to be scientific. I do have a degree in Biology. And have done some experiments... maybe it will convince some folks. I don't expect to convert everyone.
