I caught a diamond dove in my hand! It was flying loose in Hawaii. I guess we both have good reflexes.

I used to be like that too from playing had ball. It became a reflex to reach out to catch things.

I almost did that with a bumble bee though so am much more careful now.....

It came out of my peripheral vision...and then I saw what it was and jerked my hand back
 
I had a roo in a small detached pin. Dumb dumb went crazy and broke the tip of his beak. I put cornstarch on it, trying to stop the bleeding.

That's about all you can do. Once it stops bleeding see if the quick is exposed. He may need help eating if it' damaged too bad. They heal up but it can take time depending on the damage
