You're welcome. You always think there won't be problems b/c you expect everyone to be civilized when the time comes, but things happen and it's best to be prepared. When they went to put my gma w/ my gpa my dad invited his brother who my gma was estranged from. They expected him to bring his wife, well they brought the entire family, so EVERYONE local was there but me and my brothers. I was ticked b/c it was just supposed to be my dad, his siblings and their spouse. I don't like that kind of thing so I probably wouldn't have gone anyway, but it was still annoying. It was exactly everything my gma didn't want when she said she didn't want any memorial or anything.
A lady I work with, her brother and his wife got so mean when her mom died. He was the executor while she was the one who had been living w/ and caring for her mom. As soon as the mom died the brother said that she needed to be paying rent to stay there after her mom passed (she never paid rent b/c she was her mom's caregiver and was saving them $$ instead of putting her in a nursing home, so this was a shock). Then the brother wanted to immediately put the condo up for sale even though his siblings needed to find a home and then basically said people are coming to do this, this and this and you stuff needs to be out of the way w/ just a week's notice. She was freaking out b/c she needed to find a place quickly and pack and was still grieving, but all the brother thought about was getting the condo sold asap. They were horrible and now that it's all over she wants nothing to do with him ever again & I don't blame her at all.

Everyone is doing great! Momma is showing them what to eat and keeping them safe.
 
I'm wondering how long I should wait on the last egg? I'm pretty sure it quit but I'd hate to not give it a chance.

And water for the little fuzz butts. They've been staying in the nest box so I've sprinkled food in front of Mom. She can reach water but not sure they can. It's an open waterer so I don't want to put it in the box in case of spills. They should be able to get in and out of the box but Moms not moving off that egg.

For my last egg, I think I waited until two days after the first chick had hatched. I probably could have waited longer but I was certain it had quit and wanted mama to focus on the chicks. So I candled and watered candled. Then did a very, very careful partial egg-topsy. Chipped away at the egg shell above the air cell until I had a clear view into the egg and could confirm it was DIS.

Gosh that is a sad story.
One of my siblings put us other three through a living hell after our mom died.

It was one almost insurmountable surprise problem after another. Horrible shocking revelations which fractured us as a family forever.

I wish people could just get along.

I had a suspicion it quit the 31st when I candled. I hate to think it made it almost to hatch but didn’t make it. I don’t hear or see anything. I may try to water float it...
