Jeeze, the only time iv'e seen these run is when the junebugs were getting in their pen. Can't blame them those things are huge this year and plentiful! I didn't see a single one last year. Seriously though these girls are not exiteable in the least, they don't even run from hubs and nothing animal wise likes him. They do scream at him like little banshees but they don't run.:)
That'd be a nice change, even if it's just temporary. Mine like to scream like something's eating their head and then run/fly away so I'm looking for what's trying to kill them and it's just that someone *might* have something delicious and they need to get over there asap.

That’s a big concern of mine with the move. Although I could put a horse on the property legally I’d rather not be the hated neighbor.
Looking into getting bamboo. Grows fast, cold hardy, privacy sound barrier!
Just know it's a water hog and once planted you can't ever get rid of it... And it spreads. Each spring I cut an 18" slice away from the driveway and since it continues to grow in diameter, I now have to use a chain saw to cut it back. But it is great for privacy and sound dampening.

Looking into one that’s non invasive clumping. Fargasia Rufa is the one I’m after.

My neighbor in VA had been cutting his bamboo down for years before I moved in. Most of the shafts were over 4" in diameter. Second year I lived there, he cut it close to the ground used a stump grinder to go down like 8", packed the shafts with a herbicide "guaranteed to kill bamboo", put down weed cloth, four inches of rock, formed it in and poured six inches of rebar reinforced concrete. And put his shed on top of that... Two years before I moved out, the bamboo was coming through the concrete. It's pretty resilient stuff.

Yup, mom dug up the yuccas by the driveway 30 years ago easy and they still come back! And where she threw the plants more tatering yuccas! Those things are brutal! :barnie
I despise morning glory and yucca. People are so excited to plant yucca around here. You need napalm to rid yourself of either plant.
