I'll ask and do all this research and they probably won't even eat it. My chickens are so weird. Nothing leafy green! They'll eat most anything else but if it's not grass coming directly out of the ground they want nothing to do with it if it's leafy and green!

ETA: They don't like vegetables in general...
Last fall I tossed a bunch of gross (but not moldy) tomatoes in the run and NO ONE touched them. The sat there and rotted. So this year i told my mom they don't eat tomatoes b/c they didn't eat them... then I see one of those turds out in the yard eating some tomatoes she'd tossed out. SMH.. I threw a bunch at them and they all acted like it was the best thing ever. Maybe their palate developed over time.

Our forecast is for smokey haze. :(

I wish it would drizzle for a solid week on ALL the fires.
I saw something on the news this past weekend that what appeared to be clouds was actually smoke from the fires out west that was caught in the jet stream. So strange.

Ok..... You asked for it.

It was hamburger helper. I hate that stuff.
We eat that, but not very often & they only eat about 2 kinds. My kids don't like ground beef all that much. Most of the time it's more helper than hamburger.

Probably the worst food someone else fed my kids was when my son got invited for a play date at a friends house.

They dad was a doctor.
The mom was a nurse.

They lived in a big house on a steeply sloped lot next to a giant pond.

When we arrived the mom answered the door and said come on in and follow me out back.

I’m just taking my little guy his lunch.

Okay so I followed her through the mansion to the beautiful yard.

Out there was a kid about 4 years old

in a body cast.

In a wagon.

Under an enormous tree on the HILLSIDE.

BY THE POND!

With a brick wedged under each front wheel.

Yup.

Two medical pro’s for parents,

Not a gram of sense between them.

Oh.... the lunch! Almost forgot.

His “favorite sandwich”.

White bread
Mayo
Curry powder.

That’s it.
No peanut butter
No jelly
No meat
No cheese
No tomato
No lettuce
Not even velvetta.
Nuthin
Nada

My birds run from store bought maters but demolish home grown.
Sooooo picky.

The smoke that has blown in here along the Colorado front range is even down at ground level. So weird cause it looks like fog clinging in the trees.

Proof once again that there needs to be testing before people have kids.

Might have been smart but common sense was definitely missing.

I can't stand the stuff in the box. NASTY. Plus they don't make a gluten free version. I make it from scratch here. I brown the ground beef, add dried onion and peas and let the peas cook. In another pot, I cook the pasta and on the side I cube some cheddar and Monterrey Jack cheese. When cooked, I drain the pasta (do not rinse), put some butter in the bottom of the pasta pot, add the pasta back in the pot, toss the pasta with some extra butter, add cheese and meat/veggies, toss until the cheese is well melted by the hot pasta, serve.

It sounds less gross than my sister's favorite sandwich. Peanut butter, jelly, bologna, ketchup, mustard, relish.

Eww!
Not to what you made but to your sister’s sandwich!

My mom made this stuff when I was in high school that we called “that stuff”.

Brown hamburger meat add a bag of frozen Asian style veggies and a couple handfuls of tiny egg noodles ( uncooked) some water and according to my memory, a massive amount of soy sauce.
Slam a lid on it til water is absorbed and the noodles are cooked.

For some reason we liked it.
I have no idea where she got that “recipe”. She wasn’t at all adventurous in her cooking.
