Good morning peeps!
The hunt for the generator continues!
Big disappointment to the area as I’ve made the rounds since 4 am - and met a lot of nice *still civilized people this morning.

Our town has 2 lowes and 2 homedepots.

All were expecting a truckload of generators overnight but none of them got any generators.
Lots of bottled water, tarps, plywood, coolers and batteries though, which is still awesome. And nice of management to come out periodically and talk to people.

I’m currently camped out at my TSC 1/2 from town.
I stopped here yesterday and just as I was walking (not gonna lie, I was actually running) to the last generator, a lady slapped her hand on it and yelled out “got it!”
I’m hoping the manager was right because he told me he was supposed to get some in overnight !
I’ll be here when the doors open with my fingers crossed and probs my legs too because, you guessed it! I’ve been drinking coffee!:celebrate

When I was here yesterday they had a bunch of miscellaneous straight run assorted chicks and ducks for .49 cents a piece.
Didn’t scoop any up, I got enough to handle right now. Lol
Hope somebody takes them home. :fl

I am thinking about all our eastern members and really hoping that storm misses EVERYONE!

Something outside has been setting off every dog on a 10 house radius since 2am! Yup mine have been going full volume in the house.

The retiring spouse is bad enough! My DW retired this summer and it is quite an adjustment. I am working full time still too.

Adding in a relative coming to live with you!

His pick-up is acting up..... Natural thing to do is ask Pops to cosign a loan for a brand spanking shiny new one right?

Their tight on cash as it is. Just not gonna risk our credit so he can have a brand new truck.:smack
No way we could swing another payment if they couldn't make it!
Let alone air fare cause tatering straight Pops would fly down there and get it.

I cosigned for my parent once. It is very stressful!

Why not get a nice used truck?

Been missing you , Smuv. We lived with my Mom for about a year. After that i couldn't take it any more.
Did you have your surgery?

That is what hubs told him to do.
Shoot, our trucks are old and have a gazillion miles on them!

Hubs hung up the phone and said "I'll be ****** if I am signing a loan so he can have a nicer truck than I drive."
