Gah, he drives me nuts with the wine! It has been like this since we moved here and he discoverd the grape vines. The soggy boom could have been avoided if he'd listened to me "like most of his disasters". I told him the bucket wasn't big enough but nooo it will be fine he says! That little airlock thing got launched like a rocket, I found it behind the stove. I'm glad i'm psychic and stuck the whole thing in a washtub before the boom.:lau
Likely that the bubbler got fowled... Had that happen with 25 gallons of juniper berry *uhm* juice... :lau:lau

Freakfoot is so sweet, I am keeping her even if she turns out to be a boy. I love this weirdo bird already!

My teensy baby Serama. I put her under mom(s) last night. Doing great, eating well, hanging with the others. Trying to get her to get the concept of drinking water. We'll get there!

It is so awesome having a broody rear the chicks. Not only is it 1000 times easier and less messy, but it is so sweet to see them tibitting for the babies and teaching them how to act like chickens.

Every time I see a little chick face peering out from under Fergus's wing, it melts my heart.... :love
I want a broody sooooo much! Even a broody quail!

Honestly, I don't know. If it does, I'll just snip it off. I thought about doing that (like puppy dewclaws, it's easier when they are tiny) but I'm just going to wait and see.

I've always been of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of vet. So, I'll just play it by ear for now. Great question though....have any of you guys ever had a freak baby like this one?
I had one that had even more toes, just on one foot. Sold it, it was a roo. Got along fine.
