I’ve been trying to think of something like that all day.

They are putting in a retaining wall, and I'm going to make sure they put in a fence, cuz I'm not going to have one of my dogs playing on our property get hurt from accidentally going off their ledge. And yes, I'm actually livid, and am waiting on a call back from county planning's building code department. I'm so tired of being stressed and having my stuff tatered up and my ability to go about my daily business tatered with because some anal orifice wants to put a mansion in a postage stamp. Maybe if they had discussed any of their plans with the neighbors, the width of the house would have decreased a couple feet, which is really the only thing they would have needed to do. Then they could have put in a ramp to get to the back.

I'm so sooory you're going through this.Out here we have different ways of dealing with these problems. Contractors don't like guns shooting at them.

Here there is a 10' property line set back. It's so emergency personnel can get to where they need to unimpeded.

My side yards are 15'. I cannot imagine having a structure just 5' away.

I tried making her a brace/cushion out of a pool noodle. As much as a wrapped it up not only did she move it she was ripping chunks off!

This sounds like a nightmare.

Oh, trust me, we have enough firepower and deadly aimers in our house to survive the zombie apocalypse. DD#'s 2, 3 & 4 are deadly accurate with .22s, so we won't starve any time soon.

On another note, DH talked with property owner and he's fixing everything that has been tatered up, and gave us $100 in gift cards. Still gonna talk to county about property line and make sure that it is fixed.
