Good morning everyone. Today I am going out to get wood to build the inside of my winter chicken coop out. My dad and my FIL got the frame built up, the walls done, nest boxes installed, and doors cut through the wall of the garage out to the garden. I just need to add roosts and box out the Rooster area of the coop. I need to put a good bit of thought into this process. Wish me luck!
Good luck Rae

They are getting in more trouble for prescribing pain meds due to the opioid crisis, therefore they are doing the all or none thing. It's either one extreme or the other, and they are so afraid of stuff they don't want to prescribe anything with opioids. It really sucks.
Yes, because i don't usually take pain killers unless i have had surgery. This is an exception.

Well, that took 3 hours. 1 hour drive, one hour between shopping and eating lunch and one hour back. Now I'm tired. Hopefully I'll be able to get something done on the coop today.
Sounds like my day, but I had the zoo to contend with.... We were looking for the countdown calendars with candy in them for the kids. Had to pick up a few groceries and scope out dog food. Left at noon and got home at 4:00. AND if I can find any way to avoid it, I'm not going near a wally world for the rest of the year!:rant

Ok folks,

I think it was this thread... Did someone post different elixirs for dealing with the famed black puddy cat with the white strip? Thankfully Todd didn't get a full force blast, but OMG, I opened the door to let him in last night and as he passed me, well OMG.:sick The house is still recovering, but much better. So I need to be prepared for the next time he drives a skunk away from the birds. He's fine and smells like normal Todd, which suggests he rubbed any remaining stuff off throughout the house.

Bottle of peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda, teaspoon of blue dawn.

I mix it in a bowl then pour on as needed. You don’t want to wet the skunked area first. All that will do is spread it.
You can put the mix in a spray bottle to scrub furniture or carpet. Just don’t leave the bottle sealed. It will pop.

Other trick is spray Pam. If it’s not all over the dog you can spray the skunked area with Pam, wait a few minutes then wash the area with dawn. The idea is oil molecules stick to oil molecules, wash of all the oils at once.
