I got zip yesterday and likely again today judging by how quiet they are.
Gonna go buy more eggs tomorrow.

Hey, doing ok-ish. Shoulder hurting makes sleep difficult, which means worse than normal headache. Add house being built 15 feet away and blasting music from the construction crew, which gives DD#3 migraines...

But, such is life, besides new neighbors didn't plan well, two story, 9 pane window facing West, and no shade Karma will be fun, can't wait till summer when we have 18 hours of sun, with half of it coming out of the West. Plus they will be more likely to have a break in than us. The houses that get broken in to in our neighborhood are the ones without dogs. Anyone trying to break in to ours will set of the dogs, which will start the chickens and pigeons and parakeets.

Dutch jumped the fence! Luckily she's tame I just went and called her, picked her up and put her back over. I don't think she'll do it again, she was freaked out. Never seen a chicken so happy to see me without food.

Ya'll know what? I had fence jumping issues with Hobo. I wonder if it is a rebellious teenage dominique phase? Dutch's wattles are dropping, they're lopsided but it is happening.

I am new to raising chickens. I have such a weird question. Did anyone else just starting out have a problem eating your chickens eggs? It feels wrong.. haha... I know thats silly... I'm hoping it will pass. I really want to enjoy them.

My hen, Bernice jumped the fence today for the first time and the other girls were in a chicken hysteria!!! She's running one side of the fence the 2 other girls are running the other side of the fence in a complete chicken meltdown. It was both hysterical and scary.

You should enjoy them. It is what you have worked so hard for after all.

Knowing that you raised those birds with a healthy environment and with good food means your eggs are far better than eggs from standard production farms.
