Got to think too, this is crazy lady's first baby so she's extra crazy.
I don't have any but iv'e seen the cycle. First one always extra crazy, it gets less and less with each kid.
Not saying that in a bad way ladies with children, it is cute I promise.:D
Stacey,
Chicky has a good point about liability.
Good golly they are asking a lot of your DD.

Your sweet kiddo has a big load already.
I would be very sad to think of her spread so much thinner.

Yup those first baby jitters and crazy overprotective things new moms do.

I often get asked "How many do you have?" and when I say 1, I usually get a "Really? You act like a mom with more kids." Of course, I'm sure being the oldest of 5 didn't hurt anything.

Well Rae you look like you know what you're doing when people say that. :)

Stacey, that lady needs someone who is able to manage the grandparents separate from the person handling the baby. The liability is too great because of the amount of care required for each individual. She isn't trained to do what is needed and the commute would be another issue. Then there's the issue of will this reduce her with hours, and is she going to be overwhelmed with adding this to what she already has going? If she gets stressed and overwhelmed, everything will be effected and she'll be in a worse position than if she says no. Definitely have her talk to HR and let them know what the boss is asking, and that due to liability reasons she is saying no to the offer, and that she is concerned that it may cause issues concerning future performance reviews. As long as that concern has been recorded, if this person tries to screw her over, she has recourse.
