Official Squatch Watchers

:frowI love looking at homes!

Me too... But that sparks remodeling, painting, new landscaping AND exhaustion!
:gig

Still fun though.....

Apparently my home has increased in value greatly lately. Oh goody higher taxes.

Ok squatchers, iv'e heard from @CSAchook. Miss Chooky is ok, she just hasn't been feeling well and lost a fur baby around the holidays so she's been feeling a little blue.
She will be back nestled in our squatchy busom as soon as she's feeling better. I missed Chooky, I was tickled pink to hear from her. :)
When you talk to her next, please tell her I’m sending hugs and miss her.

Ok, I need a drink! Locked up, Negan was pecking Tucks on the comb Marlene was helping. I broke it up before much got done. Then all the pullets and Lulu ran to the backside of the coop like some kind of little gang, i'm dumb so I follow and there was a little skunk! Ran inside got some worms to get the gang back around front...ok nobody got sprayed and I got them inside and locked up.
Went to gather up bowls and that little bastage was right next to my back steps! It walked towards me!
I retreated a good twenty feet and waited on it go away...i'm starting to dislike skunks very much.:th
Skunks will eat your chickens when they get bigger.

I know Rae, honestly I never dreamed i'd have one out in the daylight to even worry about them.
I know they come around at night, but they aren't as smart or agile as raccoons and they're gone by daylight so I don't worry much about them.
This little jerk, is a special case.

Double and triple check your coop. They are quite destructive little boogers and are very good at burrowing.

They can burrow all day long and not get in the coop. Both portions are raised off the ground because I knew we had critters before it was built.
It could dig into the run, but that is a dead end as far as food goes.:)

Good! I originally had my coop raised off the ground because of the slope behind my house and allowing birds underneath for shade and shelter. Now I’m glad I did for pest control reasons. I’ve seen too many things about people having. Rats, possums, skunks, coons, mice, etc. living under their coop.

Yep, that is a real possibility. That is the main reason I never underskirted the big section, the way it is now I can see under completely and nothing feels safe living under there .

So I guess I need to fabricate a skunk trap, yay!
I'm looking at them and how they're made, i'm convinced I can make one cheaper than buying one.
It is just a skinny, tube trap with a really low ceiling so they can't raise that tail.
I dread going in the disaster shed for tools though, hubs has it looking like a tornado hit out there.:barnie
