Our winter ballet is Tangled this year and some of the kids are towns people who wear cute little green hats and my birds donated some jaunty feathers to complete the look. I'll get pictures later, but they turned out super cute.

We got rain.. kinda sucky, but it's washing the salt off of my car. Plus the rain form of precipitation means we're above freezing so that's something.

I don't want any polar anything!!
A big ole for you two having sun and warm too.

It really won't be awful here. Still going to be above zero if we don't look at wind chill.

Everyone is fed and watered. Birds got mackerel with their mash today. They seemed happy about that since only 4 birds were not at the mash dishes.

I'm watching Lulu stalk a crow....it is painfully funny.
She stalks just like a cat head down slooow cautious steps.
And she never catches a darn thing.

Which is probably a good thing. I think she would be quite shocked at what the crow could do to her if she did catch it.

I'm so jealous. Around here the true heralds of spring are the red winged blackbirds. People mistakenly think its robins, but robins actually stay all winter...they just spend their time in different habitats than they do in spring and summer.

We only get noisy blue jays and an occasional, equally loud Stellar Jay.

Robbins are year round here too.

Crocus won't be up for another 6-8 weeks here

I keep thinking I need to give my birds some mackerel, but then I always forget to take it... Maybe I'll remember tomorrow.

Ok, she rivals my old maceration tank in strength and fineness of odor particles.
That smell could permeate latex gloves and so can Sallie's poop.
The electrical fire aroma is a nice touch.

That sounds like a new diet plan!
