Official Squatch Watchers

@apryl29 I have been messaging the previous owner and he was getting irrate with me for calling his chicken “sick.” This is what I came up with out of his texts: they didn’t look like that last Spring, he treats them with natural stuff, we had a long harsh winter (no we didn’t), he is dusting them for mites (because of the long harsh winter), she is molting and she didn’t look like that when he put her in the cage yesterday for me to pick up :lau:lau:lau, and He insinuated I put her in the pen with the other chickens and they stressed her out and pulled out her feathers :lau:lau:lau

I thanked him for his time in hopes we are done. I will treat her today, she has a nice warm breakfast of cooked salmon, chicken livers, eggs and feed. I left her in the garage overnight.

Do you think I should bring her inside where it is warmer and quiet? I can put the cage in by bathtub.

@Chickassan I am so excited about your babies!!!

If he was treating them for mites with "natural stuff" I would not being her in.
I would definitely be treating her and doing what I could for her.

Was she calmer this morning?
She is calm. I have not tried to pick her up yet, and not looking forward to it. I have only put food in her cage this morning and talked to her.

Being so upset and worried yesterday has just wiped me out! I am tired and my body/joints hurt. Trying to chill a little this morning.

Yesterday, I did meetup with one of my great friends from high school. I haven’t seen her in 25 years and we had the best lunch!!! I think we could have talked for hours. I got to practice being a good listener yesterday :gig

Some people are very silly when it comes to husbandry

Yeah it is totally not about swatches. :p
The original thread was but we all had such a good time it just couldn't end.
Smuvers started this thread so we all could chat away forever.....instead of completely hijacking the original thread.

It's a super great group of people (I know there are lots more on BYC).
Kinda like a weird caring family. :p

Feel free to join in. The thread is about everything life tosses at us.
I'm gonna lurk around for a while. :) I am definitely considered weird by some. :p
