Official Squatch Watchers

Yup round 2 on big treatment. The ones that had them look a lot better. I didn't find creepy crawlies this time. I will be doing a round 3 next week.
I need to do a hail off of my tough grasses that I trimmed. Then get Pete moss and sand for their dusting areas.....and shavings for the whole coop clean out this afternoon.

You might want to look into getting concentrated spinosad to spray the coop. Look for one that is for treating garden pests. Spinosad is safe and will keep killing bugs for a month if not in the direct sunlight

Oh, I forgot! Took the giant human to the dr. Strep test was -, but they're sending it for culture. Said it looks viral and to treat the symptoms and they'll call if it's strep. The dr kinda looked at me weird when I said that the kid's dancing no matter what. She's been working on this since Sept, she's got a dz kids counting on her, and I've paid a lot of $$ for this trip. She'll dance no matter what. I know it sounds horrible, but we had a kid who had diarrhea and danced at nationals last year wearing a maxipad just in case b/c he wasn't going to miss it. She's got a sore throat & a stuffy nose, she can handle it. I just don't want to spread disease to a bunch of kids if it is strep. Heck, this same kid dislocated her knee several years ago, was out of class for 2 months, wasn't approved by pt or dr to dance, but just HAD to be in the recital, and asked to join in the routine the day before. A cold won't stop her.

Dance Moms!

She should be ok by Friday to dance. Best wishes!

@apryl29 that is not mean. Sometime we have to suck it up and get things done.

Dusted the new hen and didn’t see anything.
So, the hen pooped on me twice yesterday. Well, today when I picked her up in was projectile loose diarrhea and shot every where!!!! Her mucous membranes are dry. I gave her Nutri Drench and gave her water via a syringe. I blended up liver, salmon and baby food squash with some lactobacillus and syringe fed her 1 tsp. I also brought her (in the cage) and put her in my bathtub. The garage is a little cool and she was getting anxious hearing all the birds and chickens outside. I guess I need to go get some kind of wormer in a bit.

Right?! LOL I figure it's not nearly as bad as other sports where you're out on a court or field for hours... plus, in those situations there's usually enough kids that someone can replace them. Their dances are typically 3-4 minutes long & if a kid can't make it then they have to adjust the routines. Last year at nationals we had a girl missing b/c she had a death in the family. They had to adjust 3 routines and drop her solo b/c she wasn't there. Every performance that she was missing they had to announce that they were missing a dancer. I assume the judges took that into consideration when they were scoring.
If it's strep she should have the meds in enough time to improve, & if it's a virus she's already fighting it & she's getting some time off school to rest.. If she's so sick she can't dance on Friday then she's there's a big problem.

Ohhhh wormer is a good idea.. that way if she does have something she won't spread it to the others. Poor girl! Does her other poo in the cage look ok, or are do you think it's been this diarrhea all day?
