Hey! Must have been a good day for it. Cooper puked at 3:30 am.
By the time I got it cleaned up DH couldn’t go back to sleep and turned on the bedroom tv. Then he went to sleep and I couldn’t.

Then later in the morning I was sitting on the back porch with cooper watching chicken tv and I kept hearing creaking sounds over my head in the ceiling part of the porch (not an enclosed porch).

Hmmmm I thought, I hope I don’t have a dang squirrel up there!

So I said cooper what’s up there buddy?!?

And he barked.

And his bark was replied to with a meow !

“Oh CARP!” I yelled.
(Not exact translation)

But by gawd it sounded like SAM!

I RAN upstairs (never go up there) and in the hallway is a big closet.
AND THE DOOR WAS OPEN. It’s always closed.
And in the back of that closet is another big closet.
THAT DOOR WAS OPEN. And that’s always closed too.
And in the back of THAT CLOSET is three steps and the door to the attic. AND THAT DOOR WAS OPEN TOO! And is always closed AND LOCKED.

And that attic is huge and only has a plywood floor over part of it.

And out beyond where the lightbulb casts light and the floor ends is a partial wall with just a small opening in it and beyond that is who the hellllllll knows because the flashlight didn’t even light it up. It was like a black hole.
But apparently THAT is either over or leads to the area over the back porch.
AND THATS WHERE SAM WAS!
And I couldn’t get to him.
and he was having a GRAND time.
And it took me HALF THE DAY TO ENTICE HIM with all the kitty treats in my arsenal to trick him into coming out and getting close enough to me to brace my hip agains this slanted board and lean out and GRAB HIS ARSSS and haul him downstairs.

So HE spent the afternoon in the downstairs bathroom thinking about his behavior.
(With food water and litter box)

When DH came home I had him go up there and fix the slide lock on the door which the previous owners had installed upside down for some reason.

I swear. ALL the door knobs in this house have GOT to GO.

Remember last week when I felt sorry for the cat for being in the cone of shame for so long?

Dang. He was so good. 21 days.
I miss those days already.
:gig:hit
"spent the afternoon in the bathroom thinking about his behavior"........:lau

My grandmother could not find her lost cat and she kept saying “I feel like she is here.” Almost a week later she heard the cat meowing in a chifforobe in the basement closed up. When my grandmother was getting something out, the cat must have crawled in. She opened the door and the cat bolted out.
I bet that cat never went in there again

Thing 1 is really getting on my nerves. The last 2 nights he's fought going to sleep and he is fighting tonight. Last night he didn't go to sleep until 11pm and still woke up around 7am. It is now just after 10pm and he is switching from song, to song in his list EXCEPT for the one the music machine is playing. I just want to go to bed, but I can't sleep with that stupid music machine playing. Because of this, I've had a hard time getting to sleep at a decent hour since, once he is asleep enough that I can turn the stupid thing off, I am wide awake and not getting to sleep until 12 or 1am. I can't wait until the boy has his own room. I think I need to try cutting his naps back again. He's been sleeping for 2.5 hours during the day lately.

In other news, we did the final walk-through on the double wide today and we'll probably start moving things we don't need at the moment over this weekend. We will hopefully get an answer on our septic tomorrow, and start working on electric soon. Once we have electric, we'll get our external AC unit put in and water run from the well to the houses. Our block foundation was completed today! We just need to seal it and get dirt moved back into place. I'll get some pictures tomorrow. It really looks nice!
That was fast. I bet you're beyond excited

@Suzi18 your girls are quite pretty.
I have 2 welsummers.
They hang together most of the time.

One is the secret crower. Rosie. As in Rosie ODonnell in a League of Their Own.
Meaning she does it quietly and in hiding.
She’s kind of a “tomboy” in every way.
Definitely would be a catcher if she played baseball.
Not a feminine bone in her body but somehow manages to lay 4-5 pretty size large medium brown freckled eggs a week. Sometimes she sits for the entire performance, sometimes she drops them coming down the ramp.
She suffers from FOMO in a big way.
My Welsummer is a bit of a loner. She will sun bathe and preen with the other girls but mostly she is very independent and keeps to herself. Can't wait for her to start laying

My Bantam EE and Bantam Welsummer all lay light beige eggs. Maybe color

Henrietta had a big, soft green poop with red/pink. I am going to weigh her again today, but she looks more full. Almost like a healthy hen. Hopefully we are on the right track and after the Flagyl, that will cover anything she could have going on.
