Official Squatch Watchers

Nice! Those four are being pretty easy on you. With the derps, the first feathers are scary because everybody kind of looks like a boy.:lau
WOW Chicky!
In the 90's, for real that's nuts!

We are forecast to be chilly for several days barely hitting the low 60's for the highs.

The 4 pack of birds is doing well. Last night they went into the big coop on their own at dusk. This morning they weren't all crazy scared when I let them out.

Bitty is doing well with the kids. The one with short wings now has more light color coming in. I find it interesting how chicks feather out.

Got the chickens moved and we are wiped. It took an hour. It probably would have taken 30 but I'm pregnant and limited in how much I could help and how often I had to rest, we all are recovering from colds, and I had to deal with two limping roosters. Apparently two of my spare Cornish cockerels were in bad shape. One is having trouble walking at all, the other has a limp and his eyes were crusted shut. We put them in isolation pens so they have access to food, water, and grass without being harassed.

Lol.....I had to chase Robin down with the net when I went to move them.
She made a grand escape and was on the run for a bit.

The Derps are keeping Bitty busy and just keep getting cuter every day.

@Chickassan @21hens-incharge I’m in a chicken FB group that’s super laid back and sarcastic. (Reminds me of the squatchers but less family friendly.) Someone was asking about their Salmon Faverolles and I thought “Where is Chicky to tell this poor soul all about derps!?!”:lau

I'd be helpful I'd spill the entire pot of tea on the derps not the cookie cutter paragraph or two people normally get.
For real the entire internet sums them up as goofy and sweet.
They tell you where they came from and what they're mixed with and they have freaky toes. That is really all you get to work with. That is sooo not enough.:gig

Lol I have already found there is A LOT more to Derps. Like how the Derpy kids infect an otherwise perfectly good broody with their derpy tendencies.
