Welcome Ladies!

And the entertainment of watching a chicken chase a bee is fantastic. Hopefully they don't catch any. LOL

While I'm thinking about it, a potato peeler makes the perfect thickness for zucchini pasta

Good to know!

I do have a slicing tool with adjustable blade too. It might work well on those ever present giant zucchini I end up with lol.

OHHHHHH!!!! Nifty!! Are those your bees?

My neighbor struggles to keep his hives alive. :(
I try to help by planting more things they like and keeping my bee waterer fresh all summer.

He is starting over again this year.

Hosting and learning while trying not to carp myself.
You're a little far for a personal visit but if he wants to reach out to my beekeeper friend.... it's the guy that makes the lotion bars and stuff.
www.midgardfarms.com

He can say the Flying Nun sent him for information. LOL

Thanks Nunny!! I will let him know.

He has been frustrated trying to keep them going.

He lost a hive to suffocation when deep snow covered the vents, one to predatory wasps and suspects one hive was poisoned.

He may be willing to reach out at this point.
My friend knows what he's doing. And knows some stupid easy tricks too. It's harder to help from pictures and descriptions but he is all about saving the bees.

Just got the inspection done on our new place. Looks like it's moving time for real. Only problem was termites in an out building. And a plumbing leak in the bunkhouse, which the owner is repairing tomorrow. Can't believe it, we are finally moving! IMG_4074.JPG This is the extra kitchen in the bunkhouse. Needs a new faucet, and clean up! It is the current owners "Man Cave", so he did not care about the kitchen. But, the big old sink and 50's linoleum counter top look like a great place to do some dirty work with some roosters to me!

It looks fabulous!

Looks good to us! The house was built in 1928 and has lots of nice woodwork, the bunkhouse is older, from a sawmill in the 1880's. Not too much is original anymore. We will have to pay some flood insurance because of the creek, but it sounds so nice, it is worth it. It is seasonal, in the dry season it drys up, just when you want it :hmm
