My new Granddaughter and her Mom!
Awwww <3

Good morning! I fell asleep in my chair last night and am paying for it! No idea how a recliner can beat you to death lol!
I had good intentions, feet were a little puffy so I put em up and kept them up all night. :lau
Was actually a little cool when I went out, little ones seemed to love it.
That goofy rooster likes to glide off the perch to the ground now instead of using a step down route.
I worry he's going to break his neck, he isn't graceful in the least. :)
I have a couple who do that. I'm always afraid they're going to break their legs when they land on the pallets I have in front of the coop.

Morning folks. :frow

Bitty put the kids to bed in an upper nest last night. You can imagine my surprise reaching in to gather my one egg from that coop and getting a Derp baby scream.
:lau

Again the chores pile up on me. :hmm
I will do what I can. It is going to be hot again.

I have 3 extra strawberries so will get those planted. Trees still need cutting down.....that should be fun. I will get the lumber for the pond no today too. I plan to get it cut and sealed then the space prepped.

The pet store for a shipment of my chosen fish......I am not ready for them yet!
:barnie I don't want to miss out though. They only get 2 shipments a year. This is number 2. :hmm
Wow, you've got a lot going on. Hopefully the weather will be nice to you so you can get everything done.

Since the pond is quite small and I will have to bring them in in winter I am going with white cloud mountain minnows.
They are about an inch long, eat mosquito larva, are silvery from above and very active.
Think of the neon tetra but light colored.
I know what they are. I have been keeping fish since I was 12. I read a lot of books. Came in handy when we had our chain of pet stores.

Several of mine do the jump and flop. I certainly wouldn't call it flying. I hear them jump down and yell "look out below" :::THUD:::
They always saunter off like nothing happened. I do say a little prayer for safe landing EVERY TIME.

Definitely not good to sleep all night on a couch or in a chair. It gets worse the older I am too.

Hey guys,

A second keet hatched this morning. I saw a couple of the other eggs being pecked at from the inside. I opened the shell for breech keet, but it isn't looking good. It doesn't want to kick out of its shell.
Give it a drop of vitamin and see how it does. Sometimes it takes a day for them to get going. Is the egg sack absorbed?

I now have 4 keets, including breech chick. Looks like it kicked its way out and bled a little bit. The sack is absorbed but the umbilical is a bit swollen. I gave it a dose of straigh nutridrench to see if that will help. I need to move the chick that hatched last night and this morning to a brooder. They are trying to jump out of the incubator every time I open it, and the sides of the brinsea is so low that they might just succeed.

Preparation H is supposed to be good for the umbilicus sore
