I thought they were kildeer! We use to see them back when I grew up in the orchard. They are like little road runners!

So I think the one chick is seriously a dwarf... on the left is a partridge frizzle it's almost 5 weeks. The Barnavelder next to it is only a week older! The other partridge satin silkie is around 8 weeks.

LOOK HOW LITTLE! It's all still chick fuzz.

It actually rained here. Real rain not just a 10 minute misting.

My plants are happy! My birds not so much lol.

We are 45° with rain right now. I know many of us are sick of rain....really really sick of rain. Living in a semi-arid area this rain is pretty welcome here.

The alley behind us used to be an open canal. After the flood in 1976 (Estes Park dam that broke) it was reworked. Now it is a storm drain overflow channel. Normally it is dry. It IS 5+ feet deep and goes from 3' wide to really wide 12+ I think. It is about 2' deep in water right now. Very unusual for us. In the 20 years I have lived here I have only seen it full once. I would say I have only seen water in it maybe 6 times.

Yup we are DRY here most of the time.

Good morning! Raining here too and it is 69 degrees "hubba hubba".
Opened the coop to about half the littles waiting at the door and half being brave exploring the lower roosts.
Witnessed Rene getting some of her own sumo medicine, Stacey flipped her own mother off the roost.
First time for that nobody was short enough to wedge under until these kids.
In weird nature news the small side of the coop is full of hover flies which i'll take over poop flies any day.
@FlyingNunFarm I am shocked you got a weird midget just shocked! You NEVER get any odd ones.
