Oh yeah, haven't seen a baby yet that didn't love a hand hen. I'm convinced it is second best to an actual butt.
Negan still digs them, I can only do his head but it is enough. :p

These are silver. So the white and black. And think the gold is newer...
Sexing is wait and see. Of course. I wish there was a course you could take on vent sexing. I'm confident I could do it without hurting the chick I just don't know what I'm looking at! LOL

I have an old book with photos and instructions, I could post it if you like. Pretty detailed, thought I might try it -- it does say you need a lot of practice.

:oops:While I was hatching cream legbars I kept checking under the hood. Sometimes thought I could tell... but didn't know if I was seeing things because I knew I had a boy.:oops:

Post away. I'm willing to try again. LOL I could always DNA testing.

The Deathlayers looked barred when I was reading about them, I bet the lighter one is a boy. I will scan the pages from this old book. "Modern Poultry Husbandry" by Leonard Robinson. Got it on Amazon, interesting reading from post WW2 England. Published in 1953.
