I like the little spotted derps, they grow up really pretty. :)
Beavis is enjoying being spoiled lol!
She likes not being harassed and not sharing her food.
Obviously she's getting special treatment and is very aware of it.
Thanks! Glad to hear you think there is still hope for Loki to be a girl :yesss: And 'calico' is the perfect (and kindest) description for them :)

How is Beavis?

Between the calico derps, and my Russian orloffs this is going to be one delightfully spotty group I think. I am very pleased. :)

Glad to hear she is enjoying herself. She deserves some extra love.

You've added some fun personalities no doubt about that.
That is the draw at least for me, they're super animated about everything!
It can be a pain too "in the ears" lol!
Like tonight Lulu was broody screeching and the littles were sad honking at once. My coop sounded like an asylum.:lau
Totally agree on the Beavis pampering. I hate when one has a hard time, so I tend to go overboard. They never try to stop me either.

The noise and energy is remarkable! When baby Shuri was about 2 weeks old, someone pulled out one of her tail feathers and it was bleeding. No big deal really just needed cleaned up so the others would stop pecking her. I had to get DH to restrain her just so I could clean her off and dab on some betadine. That should not be a two person job for a bird that tiny! And the screams! My goodness! They really are a hoot though. I love them already.

Oh they are extremely strong, iv'e noticed that myself.:lau
Most of the grown ones don't fight "thank goodness"!
But the littles still do and it takes both hands and some real effort to hold any of them still.
The two mixes are chill don't fight one bit.

Soooo how was it? Amazing? I bet it was amazing :D

It was really really good. :D
I was able to exercise restraint too. :yesss:
I did have to cut into that yummy loaf straight out of the oven though. :lau
I even gave my puppies a bite.

I am laughing reading the derp stories. They really are something else.
:gig

Good morning! Kids are fed, so are Bob and Bruce.
Good squishy morning out there, but it will be opressive once it warms up.
Had the distinct pleasure of somebody pooping on the back of my neck.
I really think they aim for me, or some do at least.:caf

The pooping on the neck is just rude. :hmm
That is a heck of a way to say "Hi! I am glad to see you."

I just let mine out too. Those Derps are bigger than Bitty now. Both are turning out to be rather pretty. I am liking that they are different enough to easily tell them apart. :D

Morning folks :frow

CSA they are just gorgeous :love

@Hope Hughes we're doing great, please hand around as we love hearing from you and your adventures.

Chicky your gas can and poop adventures always make us laugh :lau:gig

Henny, was doing some feed research for a friend on beta glucans and came across this article. You'll want to read it and more about beta glucans I think... https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/agricultural-and-biological-sciences/beta-glucan . Too much for birds is still a huge problem, but the benefits for humans are amazing. One never knows, but oatmeal cookies could be in your future.
