Oh no! I hope they get him fixed up. My ex's gpa had a huge abscess on his leg. IDK if he had diabetes but he was in and out of the hospital before they put him in a nursing home. I never saw it, but an emt that too him to the er said it looked/ smelled like gangrene. It's hard to clear up stuff like that when they get older, esp if there isn't someone to help them.Yes, grateful for their service. FIL birthday today and he is not doing well. May have to have a toe amputated due to infection if abx don't work.
I'm so sorry! Poor thing, but at least she had a good life. I specifically remember you saying last week that we had 3 losses in the group and we done for a while. Chickens should definitely live longer.Well I’m now at 3 losses myself. First it was the deathlayer. Then I lost a barnevelder. Sad losses but no one had names so I wasn’t super attached.
This morning I lost Frannie. She was prone on the floor but alive. I picked her up and took her outside to get a look at her. She flapped her wings and died in my arms. I took her in the house and cleaned her up.
Her crop was a bit squishy and her butt was dirty. She was slightly prolapsed but that could have been from the death throws. This one I cry for. She was a special girl. My little pistol Banty Cochin.
Wow, I didn't realize you were there. I can't even imagine what it was like to go through that, not to mention dealing with all the losses.Thank you and good morning. I was fortunate that day... My team was in a conference room on the far side of the pentagon and all came home alive. Our offices were destroyed by the fire. Huge classified safes melted like candle sticks. I lost a lot of friends that day.
Cap your FIL will be in our thoughts and prayers.
So sorry nunny![]()
