:hugs Dang it! Did they not read the memo? :hugsI am sorry Nunny.:hugs

I don't think we have any....that won't turn "retired" into soup. :hmm
She is ok here unless someone complains about the noise.
So far it is not to bad. Just a couple dozen carpy sounding crow attempts then done for the day. The first time I heard it I thought a raccoon had a hens leg or something. :lau
Hopefully no one complains & she stops doing it. Maybe once morning starts coming later she'll stop doing it.

So word is in..... She was internally laying. “Full of scrambled egg texture gunk” also “what looked like infected soft shelled egg”

Said she looked really healthy other then that. I guess Frannie knew best. She took the choice out of my hands. I would have tried everything to save her. She didn’t put me through that.
Wow, at least you know what happened & that it's not something contagious. Every time I lose someone I get worried that there will be more to follow. Hopefully you're done for a long long while now.

Tomorrow may be a very interesting day.....

The folks we are getting the bloodhound from have a scheduling conflict. They may need me to come dog sit.

2 adult males, 3 adult females (2 with puppies) and 24 puppies.
The dad to the puppies is a bit wary of strangers. :hmm
He is the only one that worries me a bit. He is after all 120# of big dog.

Holy smokes! So much dog to sit!
Im overwhelmed just reading about it lol! :D

Im thinking about making a heated snuggle buddy for future chicks.
I found these little hens that already have a cavity underneath.
I figure put a reptile heater with a thermostat in the body of the hen and boom, climate controlled snuggle buddy.:phttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0797KM7PW/?tag=backy-20

Neat idea for a snuggly warm spot.

I bet that would be beyond cute with all the little peeps peaking out. :p

Yeah it is a huge number of dogs and only the puppies are small.
Josie the female without pups is nutty! She is super hyper and has those craaaaazy eyes. I like her. :D

This is what I got for Dylan the spoiled parrot:https://www.amazon.com/Pet-Products-Snuggle-Warmer-Medium
It is parrot approved, only draws 7 watts. She snuggles right up to it and likes it. Only took a day or two for the very suspicious grey to love it! That is super fast! She hates new toys for a month or 2. It is parrot beak proof, so fine for chicks of any kind.

Nice that they trust you with their babies!

I was a bit surprised myself.
The big dogs apparently liked me well enough.
The second litter was still very new when we were there. I did not pester that mama. She had a rough time after delivering so needed her rest.
I really hope the ones not nursing pups won't need me to do anything.
The logistics of moving giant dogs in and out past mom's with pups is a daunting thought. Especially with Wyatt not sure if strangers.

:th

If disaster struck I would never forgive myself.
