Was he ever caught?

We had some wild turkey that had chicks this year in the back yard but unfortunately the family of foxes that lives across the road ended up getting off of the turkey chicks this time.
Yes the rooster was caught and happily joined her flock. I have a wild turkey routinely visiting with four poults. Todd does a fair job of keeping predators away, but will also chase off the turkeys and deer. Both come back when he's not looking as the area is pretty safe for them.

Takoda will not stay home unless in the lot I built so unfortunately they get no protection there. Also he chewed the corners of my new bantam coop nest boxes :barnie
He wants to eat those chicks so bad. I wish my dogs could live happily with my chickens but unfortunately I think that will never happen.

Otto's are great for some algae species but they really don't seem to care for the thicker dark green algae. A bristlenose plecostomus or a rubber lip plecostomus are both great for that particular kind of algae and do not get super large like Godzilla in my 125. He is the common sailfin pleco.
ramshorn snails are actually very good algae eaters also if you were not opposed to having a breeding colony of snails in your tank. I can't have them with the goldfish because the goldfish eat them but I have them in practically all of my other tanks.
I also got another new plant that is called an octopus plant. It's still new so I'm not exactly sure what the mature form is going to look like but I am excited about it. Hoping it lives it says that it is a low to moderate like plant I also got some dwarf sag that I'm starting in the living room tank.
I thought I bought a siamese algae eater, but it ended up being a much larger type of chinese algae eater. I have a hard time finding the smaller size of plecos in my area except for the bristlenose. The males really freak me out! The females don’t have such pronounced bristles.

Good morning everyone!

Holy crap, you guys went on a tear last night and this morning. It’s been many years since I’ve had fish. I had guppies and loaches. All different kinds. My favorites were my Yo-yos (a couple of which got about 8 inches before I sold them. They were massive) my lonely zebra loach (who started it all but I was never able to find a buddy for him) and my java loaches. I also had hillstreams, which were interesting.

:frow Good morning Cappy, have a great day
:frow Good morning Daniel, have a great day and do drink lots of fluids and add electrolytes

pssst, there's a photo contest starting soon where you can win one. :p

Awwww Bob....you have seen the "quality" of the pics I take.....it is better if I just buy the book. :lau

I picked a grocery bag of mostly over sized beans and another of usable cucumbers. Several cukes were big enough a zucchini would have been proud. The green bell peppers and tomatoes are needing picked too.
JUST a week and a half of neglecting the garden and the weeds are THICK and healthy. 🥺

I will have to go to the grocery store and go get dog food today so that will definitely throw my gumption out of whack. I seriously hate shopping.....always have.

We will see if I can keep rolling all day. Lord knows I have literally WEEKS worth of things needing done.
