There are definitely two red things. Are two vents normal?
We have her separated still. I’m totally at a loss here.
How would I know there’s an egg? She hasn’t laid in a few days. It took a bit to figure out who hasn't been laying.
How long can she be kept separate before they forget her and think shes new when she goes back?
I've not dealt with a prolapse myself but I can try and help with researching and throwing in wild ideas. 😁 (2020 isn't over yet so there is still time for me to get my own now that I've said I've not had one) I've not had quail but I know they are small and flighty and don't handle stress well. Great combinations when trying to deal with illness or injury.

If you can/want take more pictures. Where things are located are just as important as what they look like. Good lighting and focus can help too. You know, studio quality pictures on a tiny thrashing bird. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Please send rain......no lightening just rain will work nicely.

We are super smoky again. A new fire started just west of town. Lots of houses over there so I hope they put it out quick.
We got some rain last night! But, also thunder and lightening came with it. Hoping for no fires from it, it is very dry here.
