When she was fixed it was her and her sister so they did absorbing sutures inside and glued the outside. Knowing how wild 2 pups can be they thought it the safest. Her sister had no trouble but my girl got what looked like a pimple next to her incision. Then one day a blue stitch popped through the surface. I had known a person with the same issue and knew thats what it was. I brought her for after surgery check up and asked. Vet said it happens sometimes and if I'm not squeamish I can pull it. If it doesn't come easy let it go and try again in a few days. If it sticks out real far I could clip it off. But more will probably work its way out.
She had 2 or 3 little bumps that had stitches pop out. Once they were big enough to grab I pulled them and they came right out. Its something with how the body reacts to a foreign object. It seals off the knot cutting the ends off so the stitch itself works its way out.
My chihuahua I think still have a regular stitch in his toe. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks. That is helpful to know so I don't freak about a possible abscess.

So far everything is going smoothly here. She is resting and the others are respecting.

I had one exactly like that after my c-section. It was annoying but healed over fine.

Coffee helps me get moving and dealing with people 😉 most days, even when its not face to face. The only tea I drink is something for my tummy. I try to not spend much time on the computer or tablet, but even a little bit tend to made my headaches come back 😩. Playing with ducklings is always a good way to relax and unwind.
I know I spend too much time on computers some days, between work and recreation here! I have lost some weight since I got the chickens, just from not spending so much time at my desk. Wishing you good health and a fast recovery. Have a great day!

Right now is difficult because on one hand I have exercises to do for therapy and on the other with the swelling they want me off my feet 😳 I was doing good when I went back and forth caring for the chickens 🤷
Thank you for the well wishes.

I have a friend who had a stroke 2 years ago 9/11 and she celebrates it every year. She gets exersize with her walker getting her garden stuff in Home Depot, said it really helps! Getting flowers is motivation for all that pushing the walker.

I gathered 2 duck eggs this morning. No biggie....I have been getting 2-3 a day.

This afternoon I thought I would take a moment while River went potty to see if there was a 3rd egg since I had been out there extremely early.
😳 😳 😳
There were 6!

I only have 6 females......🧐

I better start fluffing the bedding looking for buried eggs.....🙄

Did you have any accumulation?

Not enough to really speak of. We did have enough heavy wet stick to trees, shrubs and plants to flatten or severely bow them. I shook off my fruit trees. I lost a big branch from the tree above the big coop. Luckily it landed in the alley.
The ground was to warm from our heatwave to let it stick there.

Well the kids are in the coop tonight
I actually miss having them in here, they were an absolute pleasure.
They're getting big though, the brooder was shrinking fast, little poopies had grown into massive sh*ts.
Im at a loss with nobody to play 1am popcorn frisbee:hit
