Well the outing.went as expected half peachy and half train wreck.
Dooneese and Renee were little beeches just biting babies and loving it.
Other ladies gave not one buk.
Prince gave the whole fiasco a wide berth, he's a smarty.
Dooneese ran Spunky off couldn't find her she finally came out from the stupid baby carrier an hour later.
This one is Spunky, she reminds me of Rocko's dog, little stumpy legs and will bite....a freakin lot.

Thank you. Those girls have a way of making me look like an impatient fool!
I need to complain more over the last 8 not laying! LOL

The waiting is the hardest part! While they say that this breed or that breed will lay at X weeks old.......birds are not inclined to read all those books or follow those rules.

I had a Brahma laying at 30 weeks....you hey are supposed to take much longer. Then I had a splash Hamburg that didn't lay til 13 months. Thumbing their beaks at the rules!

I had 2 cali whites lay at 14 & 15 weeks, while an EE in the same flock didnt lay until almost 11 months! I was truly concerned about those cali's. I thought i did something wrong. I felt guilty when i would collect their eggs...and of course they were laying machines! Lol

I really liked my California Whites. I have 3 new ones that just hit 5 weeks old. It has been many many years but I recall mine laid very early too. I am thrilled for you that the new kids are starting to lay.
