Official Squatch Watchers

Good morning!
If I haven't said it before I hate winter, this cold mess is for the birds.:)

Every good one I find ends up retiring shortly after I find them, im starting to sense a pattern. 🤔

I tried vaping, didn't like it and honestly it got expensive pretty fast for something that should in theory save money.
Some of the juices did smell really good though.:)

This doctor is still pretty young so has that "I want to actually help" kind of passion for her work. It is such a rare thing these days.

Good morning everyone🙂 have a great day

Good morning Chicky 🙂 have a great day!

Good morning Henny 🙂 have a great day !! Yum, breakfast looks good 😁
That does sound very brave, be careful!!

That goober has set up residency nearby. I would bet $$$ someone is feeding it. It is the one that has taken my neighbors chickens. I also found a feather pile in my side yard....it WAS a barred rock.
My runs and coops are secure so I am not worried about it doing anything other than causing mass panic here.

Wow, just your luck to have a fox for a neighbor 🙄 . As long as your birds are safe, I guess just keep an eye on things !!

So far he is just an annoyance by triggering a LOT of incessant barking/baying from my dogs. It may change after he burns through all the neighborhoods unprotected birds.
I am really glad we made such secure pens.

Good morning folks :frow

🤗🤗 good coops is a must and hopefully the dogs help scare it off!!

Seriously, I swung the backdoor open and opened the hallway window.
It is 86 degrees in this mofo!
I hear ya Chicky!
First thing I do when hubs steps out the door in the morning is shut the furnace off and open windows.

I've been trying to catch up on pages and seem to keep falling farther behind. LOL

As for muck boots... I like the Tractor Supply ones. They are neoprene and rubber so softer around the leg then a rain boot. I still have my original pair I bought 4 or 5 years ago. Not for cold weather but I really like them. I have sloggers too but they have deep treads. You can easily hose them out but I'd have to do that multiple times a day in mud season. So for me the lightly treaded TSC boots are easier. In winter I did get a pair of solid soled winter boots from Walmart. Made like a molded rain boot but with warm insides. My yard claimed the life of 2 pair of winter boots. Mud sucked the bottoms right off. I don't want to pay a ton of money for something that's going to be mud and poo covered the first time they are used.

Weather here has been rediculous. Had snow the other day. Now its mid 60's. I got 3 loads of wood chips to move. I need a tractor. Hauling by hand is no fun!

Have some weird bird cases in the house too. Pinky my white satin showgirl was limping. Now he doesn't want to walk. Have a Swedish Flower cockerel doing the same. A Swedish Flower pullet has stroke like symptoms. Off balance, holds one wing low, trips and then just lays on her side. Trying activated charcoal in case of toxins and giving extra vitamins. Not sure what the H is going on out there.
